U.S. star Lady Gaga will appear in the second installment of the acclaimed film ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ Variety confirmed Friday.
The role that the ‘Just Dance’ singer will play in the second part of this film project, which began filming on June 30 and is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, is unknown at this time.
After performing four nights in London on the occasion of her world tour The Mayhem Tour, Lady Gaga was spotted by fans in the Italian city of Milan at the time when one of the scenes of the film was being shot.

The film features the return of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, joined by other stars such as British actress Simone Ashley (‘Sex Education’), Helen J. Shen (‘Maybe Happy Ending’), Conrad Ricamora (‘Oh, Mary!’), as well as comedian Caleb Hearon.
Starring Streep, Hathaway and Blunt, this cult comedy is inspired by Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name, which portrays the underbelly of the fashion world and its most hostile side.
Directed by David Frankel, the film was a success both at the box office and with critics, grossing over $326 million worldwide.
According to the synopsis published on the IMDB website, the second part will follow “the struggle of Miranda Priestly (Streep) against Emily Charlton (Blunt), her former assistant turned rival executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amid the decline of print media, while Miranda approaches retirement, reported Agencia EFE.
