Colombian actress Catherine Siachoque marks a new chapter in her career by making her debut in a Mexican production for TelevisaUnivision. After more than 30 years as an iconic figure in Telemundo’s telenovelas, Siachoque joins the cast of “Amanecer,” the new melodrama produced by Juan Osorio, which will premiere this summer 2025.
The actress, remembered for her intense antagonistic roles in hits such as Tierra de pasiones and La casa de al lado, expressed her enthusiasm for this new acting challenge: “My soul is full. It’s a great production, my first novela here at TelevisaUnivision and that makes me happy,” she said in an official interview.
A complex character
In Amanecer, Catherine Siachoque plays a multifaceted woman:
She is a veterinarian, the mother of a child with supernatural gifts and also the witch of a farm in the strawberry fields where the story takes place.
The character promises a mix of drama, mysticism and strong emotions.
The filming takes place in the town of Tzintzuntzan, Michoacán, with the support of the local government.
The actress highlighted the visual value of the real locations, fundamental to give authenticity to the production.

Along with Catherine Siachoque, Fernando Colunga and Livia Brito star in the film, marking the first time the two have shared the screen.
