The night of Thursday, November 20, 2025 was marked in the memory of millions of people around the world: Fatima Bosch, representative of Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe 2025 during the spectacular gala held in Thailand.
At just 25 years of age, the Tabasco native became the fourth Mexican to win the title, following in the footsteps of Lupita Jones (1991), Ximena Navarrete (2010) and Andrea Meza (2020).

The conflict with Nawat Itsaragrisil that made her go viral
Days before the final, Bosch starred in an episode that went around the world. At a press conference, Nawat Itsaragrisil, head of the organizing committee in Thailand, accused her live on air of not sharing enough content about the host country on her social networks, going so far as to call her a “fool.”
Fatima tried to respond, but was interrupted and silenced by the organizer, which generated global outrage. Her firm, calm and respectful attitude -but without letting herself be trampled- made thousands of network users sympathize with her.
The conflict escalated so much that Raul Rocha, president of the Miss Universe organization, came out publicly to defend her.

In her message published this Friday, she said: “I knew that in that band, in Mexico, I was going out. I had to go out with strength to represent all the women who believed in me and all the people who put their love and support. It was no longer just about going out for me, but for all those people who deserve to have a voice and be heard. This is a dream.
His message was full of emotion, nostalgia and gratitude for the hard work done.
