A new controversy has arisen surrounding Shakira y Anitta after the Argentine duo Saraointegrated by Tushka y RebebeBuzzy , made public a complaint in social networks for an alleged plagiarism related to the song “Choka Choka”.

The song is part of “EQUILIBRIVM”, the album released in April 2026, and quickly became one of the most talked about collaborations of the moment.

However, for the members of Sarao, the success of this single also raised unexpected concerns.

Through a video shared on their digital platforms, Tushka and Rebebe explained that several of their followers began to point out coincidences between “Choka Choka” and a song of their authorship published five months earlier.

According to the artists, the similarities would not only be limited to the melody, but also to the visual style of the video clip, including the color palette, the general aesthetics and some elements of the staging.

To back up their claim, they reproduced an excerpt of Shakira and Anitta’s song:

“Clash, clash body to body, mouth to mouth.”

Later they performed a part of their own composition:

“Mouth my scantily clad mouth and shocks me. Crazy it lands on my cup and wets me.”

After comparing the two excerpts, they said they found a “strong melodic and aesthetic similarity,” something they had not initially noticed until their audience brought it to their attention.

Despite the commotion generated, the members of Sarao clarified that they do not consider that Shakira or Anitta are directly responsible for this situation. They pointed out that behind a musical production of this magnitude there are numerous composers, producers and creatives involved, so the coincidences could have originated in any of those stages.

“Five months ago we were releasing this song,” they commented while showing images of their video clip, stressing that their main intention was to share their surprise with the public.

Humor and openness to future collaboration

Far from adopting an aggressive stance, Tushka and Rebebe decided to approach the controversy with a sense of humor. At the end of their video, they even suggested the possibility of one day collaborating with Shakira and Anitta, demonstrating that, beyond the debate, they maintain admiration for both artists.

The report has sparked an intense conversation on social networks, where followers of the four musical projects analyze the similarities and express divided opinions.

For now, neither Shakira nor Anitta have spoken publicly on the issue, but the controversy has already put Sarao at the center of the conversation and has awakened the interest of new listeners in her musical proposal.

Here is the video of the Argentinian women accusing them.
