I&#8217;m looking to be a better person every day and help this team win,&#8221; the Packers&#8217; new corner said.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"154\" data-end=\"250\">Trevon Diggs comes to Packers after being fired by Dallas Cowboys<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Packers claim CB Trevon Diggs (via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapSheet?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@rapsheet<\/a>) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wOeqAl5tH2\">pic.twitter.com\/wOeqAl5tH2<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; NFL (@NFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NFL\/status\/2006474123141329144?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 31, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nLast Tuesday Diggs <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/cowboys-cut-trevon-diggs-after-six-seasons-shake-up-their-defense-for-the-future\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was fired from the Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, a team that is already out of the postseason, after several injury and disciplinary problems.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, he was called upon by Green Bay to face the final game of the NFL regular season and the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the player was out eight games due to a right knee problem, which he rehabilitated on his own, which led to his absence from Cowboys activities.<\/p>\n<p>That situation resulted in a $500,000 pay cut as he missed 84 percent of the team&#8217;s preseason schedule.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago, the cornerback suffered a concussion, he said, in a domestic accident that, as it transpired, happened on an outing to a nightclub.<\/p>\n<h2>A career in a tailspin?<\/h2>\n<p>Trevon Diggs is 27 years old.<\/p>\n<p>He came to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/mundo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFL<\/a> drafted by Dallas in the second round of the 2020 Draft, a team with which he was a two-time Pro Bowl selection, had an All-Pro designation and was the interception leader in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>His performances earned him a five-year, $97 million contract extension in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, its performance has been declining.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, he tore his left anterior cruciate ligament and played only two games.<\/p>\n<p>Last year he required a chondral graft in the same knee and missed six games for the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>In the eight games he played for the Cowboys this season, Diggs racked up 27 tackles and two pressures; it was his first year without an interception.<\/p>\n<p>The defensive back said he is ready to put all these problems behind him and repay the Packers for the trust they had in hiring him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just want to start fresh, work and keep my head down to prove them wrong,&#8221; Diggs concluded.<\/p>\n<p>In Week 18, the final week of the season, the Packers will visit the Minnesota Vikings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>With information from EFE<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trevon Diggs, a cornerback recently signed by the Green Bay Packers, said Friday that he&#8217;s not coming to his new team looking for accolades, but to help them transcend in the NFL playoffs. &#8220;I think I just need to be myself.
