Inter Miami continues to strengthen its squad for a demanding 2026 season and announced the signing of Canadian goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, who arrives as one of the most recognized goalkeepers in North American soccer. The incorporation is aimed at both the MLS<\/a> and the Concacaf Champions Cup, tournaments in which the club will seek immediate prominence.<\/p>\n

St. Clair, 28, was a free agent after finishing his contract with Minnesota United, a franchise to which he belonged since 2019. During his time with that team, the goalkeeper established himself as an undisputed starter and was recognized as the best goalkeeper in MLS last season, a distinction that placed him among the most solid names in the league. <\/p>\n

The Canadian international has made 18 appearances for the Canadian national team.<\/p>\n

He sees this new stage with Inter Miami as a key opportunity to add minutes, visibility and merits towards the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada.<\/p>\n

In the last MLS campaign, St. Clair stood out for his consistency:<\/p>\n

He allowed 30 goals in 30 games, a record that supported his individual recognition.<\/p>\n

As reported by the club in an official statement, the goalkeeper signed a contract with Inter Miami for the entire 2026 season.<\/p>\n

With an option to extend until June 2027.<\/p>\n

His arrival responds to the board’s intention to increase internal competition.<\/p>\n

In addition to having depth at a key position to face multiple tournaments.<\/p>\n
