Argentine coach Gabriel Milito’s Chivas de Guadalajara defeated Ju\u00e1rez FC 1-0 on Tuesday with a last-minute goal and jumped to the top of the Clausura 2026 Mexican soccer tournament.<\/p>\n

Yael Padilla took advantage of a defensive lapse, accepted a service from Ricardo Mar\u00edn, entered the box and left-footed the ball into the net to settle an even match corresponding to the second matchday. Both teams missed opportunities to take advantage in the first half, in which they neutralized each other. <\/p>\n

Jurado prevented the goal, Ju\u00e1rez forgave and Padilla scored the final goal<\/h2>\n

In the second half, they came out again in search of goals and it was Chivas who let a good offensive play go in the 58th minute.<\/p>\n

This was when goalkeeper Sebasti\u00e1n Jurado cleared a shot by Bryan Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n

Portugal’s Ricardinho came close to scoring Juarez’s goal in the 77th minute, but his header went wide.<\/p>\n

When it looked like a draw was just a matter of time, Padilla converted to give Chivas their second win in two outings and lift them into the lead.<\/p>\n

A couple of hours earlier, Venezuelan Salom\u00f3n Rond\u00f3n scored his first goal of the year to give the Pachuca Tuzos a 2-1 win over Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Moroccan Oussama Idrissi and ‘King’ Salom\u00f3n scored for Argentine coach Esteban Solari’s Tuzos, while Argentine Rogelio Funes Mori scored for Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Monterrey and Puebla also win<\/h2>\n
