{"id":133028,"date":"2026-01-14T19:40:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T00:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/texas-governor-claims-migrant-tried-to-run-over-ice-agents\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T19:40:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T00:40:09","slug":"texas-governor-claims-migrant-tried-to-run-over-ice-agents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/texas-governor-claims-migrant-tried-to-run-over-ice-agents\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas governor claims migrant tried to run over ICE agents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Texas Governor Greg Abbott said Wednesday that a migrant attacked a group of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with his vehicle, leaving one officer injured, in the city of San Antonio. <\/p>\n<p>The incident, ICE reported on its X account, took place Tuesday in the parking lot of a Walmart supermarket.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Migrant assaults ICE agents in Texas<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Yesterday, in Texas, a criminal illegal alien tried to run over our officer &#8211; smashing vehicles and leaving one officer injured and sent to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to politicians spewing dangerous anti-ICE rhetoric, this is becoming a daily occurrence. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/reVHpDu5T3\">pic.twitter.com\/reVHpDu5T3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (@ICEgov)  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ICEgov\/status\/2011516333838807231?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 14, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nIn a video posted by the agency on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ICEgov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social networks<\/a>, it can be seen how the agents intercept a vehicle and block its exit by placing one car in front and another in the back.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the vehicle attempts to accelerate, but finds himself surrounded.<\/p>\n<p>Three agents approach the doors of the vehicle, knock on the windows and shout at him to get out of the car, pointing guns at him.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of the video, the man is seen getting out of the car, throwing himself to the ground and being arrested by the agents.<\/p>\n<p>In the images, however, the subject is not seen hitting or attacking the officers.<\/p>\n<p>According to ICE, one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/trump-defiende-agentes-del-ice-tras-muerte-renee-good\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agents<\/a> involved was injured and subsequently transported to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>San Antonio police told EFE that they received no emergency calls about the incident.<\/p>\n<p>This incident in Texas comes just over a week after a woman in Minneapolis, North Texas, died after being shot by an ICE agent during a raid in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, since President Donald Trump took office, the U.S. has seen an increase in violence and the use of lethal force by ICE agents and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Homeland<\/a> Security agencies in detention and deportation operations. <\/p>\n<p>This violence occurs both in raids on communities and inside detention centers and in response to protests against <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/trump-administration-acquires-6-aircraft-to-create-its-own-deportation-fleet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deportations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump Administration, for its part, claims that agents and the Administration is facing a spike in &#8220;domestic terrorism,&#8221; motivated by opposition to the Administration&#8217;s anti-immigrant policies.<\/p>\n<p>Filed under: Migrant rams ICE agents in Texas<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>With information from EFE<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Texas Governor Greg Abbott said Wednesday that a migrant attacked a group of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with his vehicle, leaving one officer injured, in the city of San Antonio.
