The decision of Sergio Mayer<\/span><\/span> shook both the world of show business and the political sphere once again. The also federal deputy requested a leave of absence to temporarily separate himself from his seat in the Chamber of Deputies and become one of the surprise inhabitants of the new season of La Casa de los Famosos<\/span><\/span>produced by Telemundo<\/span><\/span>.<\/a><\/p>\n

The premiere of the sixth season confirmed the rumors: Mayer crossed the door of the reality show again, generating immediate reactions in social networks. For many, his entry represents a risky move; for others, a media strategy consistent with his career, marked by constant public exposure.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, he remained close to the project as a panelist in galas and special programs, analyzing the coexistence of other participants.<\/p>\n

Now, in 2026, he returns but again as an inhabitant, willing to submit to total isolation, 24\/7 cameras and the pressure of extreme coexistence. The actor, known for his time on the so-called “Team Inferno”, seems determined to relive the intensity that made him the protagonist of the digital conversation three years ago.<\/p>\n

After her entry to the program was confirmed, Mayer left a recorded message that was posted on her official Instagram account. In the video, she explained the reasons behind her decision to temporarily abandon her legislative duties.<\/p>\n

“I imagine that by now they have found out that I entered the reality show,” he said. According to him, this type of format has become a television phenomenon and a “great social experiment” where participants face extreme situations without communication with the outside world.<\/p>\n

For Mayer, the isolation and constant pressure allow people to show who they really are. “Here the mind and soul are bared,” he said, assuring that in these environments the principles, ethics and morals of each member come to light.<\/p>\n

According to him, in such a space, loyalties, commitments and true personalities are evidenced, something that, in his opinion, could save time and resources to the electorate.<\/p>\n

The statement generated immediate debate. While some support the idea that the reality show shows authentic facets, others question the mix between politics and spectacle.<\/p>\n
