The Mexican show business world is in mourning after confirming the death of Hector Zamorano<\/span><\/span>a former member of the first generation of La Academia<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The singer<\/a> died at the age of 47 after facing a chronic illness that significantly deteriorated his health in recent years. In addition, people close to him said that he also suffered from depression.<\/p>\n

The hosts of the program Ventaneando<\/span><\/span> were the first to announce the news. During the broadcast, they reported that Zamorano passed away in Veracruz, his home state, accompanied by his parents and loved ones.<\/p>\n

Pedro Sola shared some words that reflected the complexity of the singer’s last years. He recalled that they tried to interview him some time ago, but he preferred to remain silent. “He didn’t want to talk, or share. A year ago we sought him out for an interview… He was a handsome boy, talented. We found out he passed away. He had depression problems and refused to talk to us, but because he was not ready,” said the host.<\/p>\n

H\u00e9ctor Zamorano was part of the inaugural generation of La Academia in 2002, where he coincided with figures who would later consolidate successful careers such as Yahir<\/span><\/span>, Nadia<\/span><\/span> y Victor Garcia<\/span><\/span>. Although he was the first eliminated from the competition, his participation opened the door to new projects in the music industry.<\/p>\n

He subsequently appeared in the special program Desaf\u00edo de estrellas<\/span><\/span>a program that gave a second chance to the expelled students to present their talent to the public.<\/p>\n

In 2003 he released his first and only album entitled My Flavor<\/span><\/span>. From that production, the single “Batido de coco Batido de coco<\/span><\/span>which he presented in versions with reggae and batucada rhythms, showing a fresh and tropical facet.<\/p>\n

He also collaborated with Nadia on the song La pareja ideal<\/span><\/span> and participated in the single Inseparables<\/span><\/span>along with other members of the generation such as Myriam Montemayor<\/span><\/span> and V\u00edctor Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Wendolee Ayala and Estrella Veloz, first generation classmates, revealed that the singer faced a chronic illness during the last three or four years, which even led him to be hospitalized. Without detailing the condition, they pointed out that the most important thing is that he left surrounded by the love of his family.<\/p>\n

In recent years, Zamorano dedicated himself to voice-over and creating content for social networks. However, his activity on Instagram decreased notably, as he had not posted for almost a year.<\/p>\n

The departure of H\u00e9ctor Zamorano leaves the memory of an artist who, despite the difficulties, was part of a generation that marked a before and after in musical reality shows in Mexico.<\/p>\n
