The Colombian band<\/a> Morat released this Friday a version of ‘Tu C\u00e1rcel’, the 1986 classic by the Mexican group Los Bukis, as part of a new musical stage and in the midst of the international momentum it is experiencing after winning its first Latin Grammy, informed its press team.<\/p>\n

The reinterpretation “preserves the dreamy essence of the original, but gently transforms it, incorporating distorted guitars and pounding drums over the familiar melody”, the characteristic pop style of the group from Bogota, formed by Juan Pablo Isaza, Juan Pablo Villamil, Sim\u00f3n Vargas and Mart\u00edn Vargas.<\/p>\n

Tu C\u00e1rcel’, composed by Marco Antonio Sol\u00eds and originally performed by Los Bukis, is one of the most recognized songs in Latin music and has transcended generations since its release.<\/p>\n

Other artists have also covered this song, such as the Argentine band Los Enanitos Verdes, who published their interpretation in 2004.<\/p>\n

Morat’s tribute to Los Bukis<\/h2>\n

The premiere comes after Morat won its first Latin Grammy for best pop\/rock album in 2025 for its most recent album, ‘Ya es ma\u00f1ana’.<\/p>\n

As part of its international agenda, the band will perform for the first time at the Coachella festival in California (USA) on April 12 and 19, and will perform at the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival in Monterrey (Mexico) on March 27.<\/p>\n

After these festivals, the Colombians will begin the world tour of ‘Ya es ma\u00f1ana’, which has already sold out 24 performances in Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Spain.<\/p>\n

Formed in 2011, Morat has built an international career with songs like ‘C\u00f3mo te atreves’, ‘Besos en guerra’ and ‘Cuando nadie ve’, reported Agencia EFE, and has established itself as one of the Latin American groups with the greatest presence on the international stage.<\/p>\n
