The campaign &#8220;ICE costs us&#8221; was driven by the civil rights association &#8220;Mijente&#8221; and its billboards were installed in 31 locations <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oxrkX5rzeV\">pic.twitter.com\/oxrkX5rzeV<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ronald (@Ronald1969HT) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ronald1969HT\/status\/2028599736828150156?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 2, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n&#8220;For too long, our government has prioritized installing cages and investing billions in an immigration enforcement apparatus that has left families torn apart and communities terrorized,&#8221; Mijente Support Committee co-founder Marisa Franco said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The posters show images of ICE <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/trump-administration-to-force-immigration-agents-to-wear-body-cameras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agents<\/a> arresting several people during immigration operations or carrying weapons of war, since according to the organization, spending on military equipment for ICE has increased by 600% recently.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Your tax dollars are wasted,&#8221; reads the majority of billboards, which continue, &#8220;ICE&#8217;s cruelty costs you $28 billion.&#8221; This figure represents ICE&#8217;s annual budget. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Millions of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, but this violent agency continues to operate with a blank check. It is clear that these decisions do not make us safer or have any impact on improving our economic security.
