The all-female band<\/a> Blackpink released ‘Deadline’, their first album in more than three years, accompanied by a special program at South Korea’s most important museum, in a bid that reinforces the connection between K-pop and the country’s cultural projection.<\/p>\n

‘Deadline’, the group’s third EP, marks its first production since ‘Born Pink’, released in September 2022, agency YG Entertainment recently announced via K-pop fan platform Weverse.<\/p>\n

Composed of five tracks and led by the song ‘Go’, the EP explores concepts of confidence, growth and unity, combining elements of EDM, hip-hop and pop. It also includes the pre-released single ‘Jump’, along with ‘Me and My’, ‘Champion’ and ‘Fxxxboy’, said YG, quoted by local news agency Yonhap. <\/p>\n

After the release of ‘Deadline’ was postponed last year, the members prioritized international solo projects and tours, such as Jisoo’s ‘Eyes Closed’ collaboration with Zayn Malik.<\/p>\n

Blackpink and its new album in celebration: Museum in pink and black<\/b><\/h2>\n

The release of the EP coincides with the band’s collaboration with the National Museum of Korea. As part of the ‘National Museum X Blackpink’ event, the facade of the venue will be illuminated in pink in the afternoon and evening from this Friday to March 8, according to a statement from the institution. <\/p>\n

Inside the venue, a ‘Listening Zone’ was activated where visitors can listen to the new album from the exact moment of release.<\/p>\n

In addition, all four members are participating in a special audio guide program featuring eight museum exhibits in Korean by Jisoo and Jennie and English by Ros\u00e9, with a Thai version by Lisa scheduled for March.<\/p>\n

Blackpink’s initiative, which intertwines traditional culture with the global music phenomenon, is reminiscent of K-pop superband BTS’s recent decision to title their new album ‘Arirang’, an allusion to the Korean folk song, and to choose the iconic Gwanghwamun Square for their comeback concert, reported Agencia EFE.<\/p>\n
