The Concacaf Champions Cup 2026, or Concachampions, enters one of its most exciting phases with the round of 16, where the best clubs from North America, Central America and the Caribbean seek to get closer to the continental title. For Hispanic fans living in the United States, this stage has a special attraction: several direct duels between Liga MX<\/a> and MLS teams, a rivalry that has grown in recent years. <\/p>\n

The tournament, organized by the Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf), is played in a two-legged (round-robin) knockout format. The team that wins each series will advance to the quarterfinals. Among the most eagerly awaited matches is the clash between Philadelphia Union and Club Am\u00e9rica, one of Mexico’s most successful teams. Philadelphia advanced to this round after eliminating Defence Force of Trinidad and Tobago, while the Mexican team is one of the tournament favorites. <\/p>\n

The rivalry between Mexican and U.S. clubs is one of the great attractions of the Concachampions, and in this 2026 edition, several clashes promise intensity.<\/p>\n

One of them is the clash between Tigres UANL and FC Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

A duel that pits one of Mexico’s strongest clubs against a team that has established itself as an MLS player.<\/p>\n

Another attractive matchup will be San Diego FC vs. Toluca.<\/p>\n

The California club, one of the newest franchises in U.S. soccer, advanced after eliminating Pumas UNAM in the previous round.<\/p>\n

They will now face one of the historic teams of Mexican soccer.<\/p>\n

In addition, the tournament features an all-American showdown between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders.<\/p>\n
