Tijuana, coached by Uruguayan Sebasti\u00e1n ‘Loco’ Abreu, defeated Tigres UANL, coached by Argentine \u00c1ngel Correa, 1-0 on Friday, with a goal by Kevin Casta\u00f1eda, in the start of the thirteenth round of the Liga MX Clausura.<\/p>\n

With this result, Tijuana reached 15 points, which places them in tenth place, two points behind eighth, the limit for advancing to the final phase. The felines are now in seventh place with 17 points.<\/p>\n

Casta\u00f1eda makes the difference<\/h2>\n

Tijuana took possession of the ball in the first few minutes led by Uruguayan Jos\u00e9 Rivero and Kevin Casta\u00f1eda<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They capitalized on their dominance in the 22nd minute when Casta\u00f1eda fired a powerful shot from outside the box that beat the outstretched Argentine Nahuel Guzm\u00e1n to make it 1-0.<\/p>\n

In the second half, Tigres improved with the entry of Uruguayan Rodrigo Aguirre, who, in the 50th minute, shot straight at goal, but Antonio Rodr\u00edguez made a save.<\/p>\n

In the 68th minute it was \u00c1ngel Correa’s turn, who received a shot from inside the box and fired a left-footed shot, which Rodr\u00edguez blocked and Aguirre’s counter-shot was saved by the defense.<\/p>\n
