Canadian star C\u00e9line Dion announced Tuesday that she will add six additional dates to the ten concerts she had already announced for her grand return to the stage next fall in Paris, in the face of the great interest generated, which has resulted in millions of registrations for the pre-sale of tickets.<\/p>\n

In total there will be sixteen concerts in the La D\u00e9fense Arena pavilion, which has a total capacity of up to 45,000 spectators, with an “unprecedented” approach, specially designed for the occasion, according to the organization of the concerts in a press release.<\/p>\n

“It will be a musical<\/a>experience that will pay tribute to his greatest hits in French and English, an emotional tribute to the songs that have marked his remarkable career around the world across generations,” the announcement detailed.<\/p>\n

According to the French press, a total of 9 million registrations were recorded for the various presales – which will allow access to the first tickets to be purchased next week, but only for those lucky enough to receive a code by lottery.<\/p>\n

General on-sale will take place from April 10 and concerts will be held between September 12 and October 17.<\/p>\n

“I’m so happy, I’m ready to do this. I feel good, I’m strong, I feel excited. Of course, I’m a little nervous, but most of all I’m grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you all again,” Dion said in her message on March 30 – also her 58th birthday – to confirm her return.<\/p>\n

It was almost an open secret in Paris, where mysterious posters with titles of his songs had begun to appear the week before.<\/p>\n

His last public performance had been precisely in the French capital, at the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he performed Edith Piaf’s ‘Hymne \u00e0 l’amour’ from the top of the Eiffel Tower.<\/p>\n

That had also been a long-awaited comeback, given that the previous year he had had to cancel his Courage World Tour due to the serious problems caused by the stiff person syndrome (SPR) he suffers from, which affects his nervous system and causes spasms.<\/p>\n

The two-time Oscar and multi-Grammy winner must undergo intense work to gain control of her muscles-including for day-to-day tasks such as walking-and complications also affect her vocal cords.<\/p>\n

PRS, about which there is very little scientific research, is a disease suffered by very few people in the world and causes the feet and hands to become stiff over time, to the point of being unable to move them.<\/p>\n

His last major solo concert was in the spring of 2020, in New York, as part of a tour that had to be suspended due to the covid-19 pandemic and then could not be resumed due to Dion’s health problems, reported Agencia EFE.<\/p>\n
