Tony Gonzales announced his resignation from the U.S. Congress amid mounting bipartisan pressure after he was accused of having a coercive relationship with a female staffer in his office who subsequently committed suicide, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/04\/06\/us\/politics\/tony-gonzales-sexual-texts-republicans.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is a time for everything and God has a plan for each of us.
