The story of Green Dwarfs<\/span><\/span> is once again in mourning. The legendary group<\/a>, an icon of Spanish pop rock, is facing a tragedy that could mark its definitive end. After having managed to remain active despite irreparable losses, the recent death of one of its pillars leaves the group’s future up in the air.<\/p>\n

It was confirmed the death of Felipe Staiti<\/span><\/span>guitarist and founding member of the band, who for decades was a key player in the construction of the sound that conquered several generations. Staiti had decided to continue with the group’s legacy after the death of his friend and partner Marciano Cantero<\/span><\/span>in September 2022 due to kidney complications.<\/p>\n

According to available information, Staiti, 64 years old, was hospitalized at the Hospital Italiano de Mendoza<\/span><\/span>where he died on Monday afternoon. The news was announced by Diego Gareca<\/span><\/span>who publicly expressed his sorrow for the departure of the musician.<\/p>\n

In his message, he highlighted the enormous talent of the guitarist and his relevance in the cultural history of Mendoza, stressing that his legacy will be remembered for generations.<\/p>\n

In addition, it was reported that at the end of 2024 the musician faced serious health problems after contracting a bacterial infection during a stay in Mexico. This situation was complicated due to his celiac condition, resulting in severe dehydration that considerably weakened his physical condition.<\/p>\n

The news is even more shocking considering that the band had an active schedule. Enanitos Verdes<\/span><\/span> had scheduled an important presentation on May 30th at the Dignity Health Sports Park<\/span><\/span>where they would share the stage with artists such as Miguel Mateos<\/span><\/span> and the group Aterciopelados<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The group also planned to return to the studio to record a greatest hits album with national and international collaborations, a project that sought to revive their most emblematic songs.<\/p>\n
