Mexico’s Miguel Herrera acknowledged on Thursday that the failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup<\/a> as Costa Rica’s coach affected him, but said he will make up for it as Atlante’s coach starting with the 2026 Apertura.<\/p>\n

“The failure with Costa Rica hurt me a lot. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever had, but you learn that you’re not the best in the world when you win a title, nor the worst when you do badly. If you want to be a successful guy you have to pick yourself up and this is the moment and what better than to do it with Atlante, the team I love,” said the coach.<\/p>\n
