Mexican boxing will once again experience a night full of nostalgia, emotions and rivalry when Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez and Jorge “Travieso” Arce return to the ring this Saturday, May 9 at the Feria de Puebla 2026. The exhibition fight between two of the most beloved figures in Mexican boxing promises to be one of the most talked about sporting events of the year among the Hispanic community in both Mexico and the United States.<\/p>\n

The bout will take place at the Miguel Hidalgo Gymnasium in Puebla, a venue that will welcome thousands of fans who grew up watching the historic fights of Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez and the explosive performances of Travieso Arce. Although it is an exhibition, both former champions have been heating up the atmosphere for weeks through social networks<\/a> and public statements, generating enormous expectation among boxing fans.<\/p>\n

Beyond the sporting spectacle, the event has an important charitable purpose.<\/p>\n

The funds raised will go to support and rehabilitation programs for people with addiction problems.<\/p>\n

Work promoted for years by the Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez Foundation.<\/p>\n

The former world champion has spoken publicly on multiple occasions about his own personal battles.<\/p>\n

And he has become one of the most active voices in Mexico on addiction recovery and treatment issues.<\/p>\n
