In the early morning hours of April 8, 2025, the Jet Set nightclub<\/a> in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was the scene of a tragedy when the roof of the establishment collapsed during a performance by renowned merenguero Rubby P\u00e9rez.<\/span><\/p>\n

The incident resulted in more than 60 people killed and more than 120 injured.<\/span> Natti Natasha, originally from the Dominican Republic, was quick to react to the horrible tragedy.<\/p>\n

After the tragedy of the nightclub tragedy in which many fatalities have been counted, the singer Natti Natasha posted a message on her Instagram<\/a> account.<\/p>\n

“My beloved land, Dominican Republic. Today we all woke up with a broken heart,” Natti wrote at the beginning of her message.<\/p>\n

“A tragedy that mourns our country and leaves a deep void in many families,” added the urban singer.<\/p>\n

He continued, “We got up with tears in our eyes, in silence, in prayer.”<\/p>\n

The singer asked “God to give strength to every mother, father, child, friend who today suffers the loss of a loved one”.<\/p>\n

Finally, he added: “From the depths of my soul, I am with you in your pain. I am with you. We are in mourning.<\/p>\n

Natti Natasha urged to collaborate with the families of the victims.<\/p>\n

The collapse occurred while Rubby P\u00e9rez, known as “La Voz M\u00e1s Alta del Merengue”, was performing at the Jet Set discotheque, an emblematic Dominican nightlife venue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rubby Perez himself was trapped under the rubble, where he waited for more than 14 hours to be rescued.<\/p>\n

But finally the merenguero could not take it anymore and ended up succumbing to his multiple injuries.<\/p>\n

The president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, expressed his condolences and assured that relief teams are working tirelessly in the rescue efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n
