His response was direct: &#8220;I&#8217;m not involved in the legality or illegality of that. I have lawyers for that,&#8221; referring to his attorney general, Pam Bondi, at the helm of the Justice Department.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>What about due process?<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13366\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13366\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13366 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/deportacion-ice-001.jpg\" alt=\"Trump defends deportations without due process, deportations without due process, Trump, deportations, Qu\u00e9Onnda\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13366\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Trump defends deportations without due process \/ PHOTO: ICE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The issue arose after Secretary of State <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/americas-first-hispanic-president-trump-endorses-marco-rubio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marco Rubio<\/a> said days earlier on the same program that &#8220;every person in the United States has the right to due process, even if they are undocumented&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>When questioned about that statement, Trump did not deny the principle, but argued that applying that standard universally would hinder his goal of speeding up deportations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We would have to do millions of trials&#8230; We can&#8217;t do it that way. I was elected to remove some of the most dangerous individuals in the world from the country,&#8221; the president said.<\/p>\n<h2>The policy of accelerated deportations<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25557\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25557\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25557\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/deportacion-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25557\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Trump defends deportations without due process \/ PHOTO: Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since his return to the presidency in January 2025, Trump has reinstated an express deportation policy that legal experts say avoids basic immigration hearings in thousands of cases.<\/p>\n<p>This policy is justified in part under the reactivation of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, to quickly expel alleged foreign gang members, especially alleged members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/sowing-terror-in-the-us-from-venezuela-tren-de-aragua-spreads-fear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tren de Aragua<\/a> group.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel, an emergency executive order on the southern border, enacted on January 21, remains in effect, allowing border agents to summarily deport undocumented people without prior judicial review. Trump insisted:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p style=\"color: #fd9737;\">No levantar\u00e9 esa emergencia. You can have three. You don&#8217;t need 250 pencils.
