And that is generating concern among immigrants in several states. You can ask them to pass the warrant underneath or show it from a window.<\/p>\n<h2>Places ICE can enter \u2014 no warrant needed<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_39112\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39112\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39112\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/redada-detencion-ice.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-39112\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: ICE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1458\">Pursuant to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/laws-and-policy\/legislation\/immigration-and-nationality-act\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1326\">Immigration and Nationality Act<\/em><\/a> and recent interpretations under the current administration, ICE <strong data-start=\"1391\" data-end=\"1421\">does not need a warrant<\/strong> to enter or detain persons in the United States:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1550\"><strong data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1483\">Public spaces<\/strong>, such as streets, parks, transportation stations, fairgrounds or squares<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1629\"><strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1585\">Businesses open to the public<\/strong>, such as stores, restaurants or laundromats<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1672\"><strong data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1670\">Government buildings or courthouses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1729\"><strong data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1727\">Border areas or immigration checkpoints<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1818\"><strong data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1818\">Temporary residences that are not locked or declared private<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1818\"><em data-start=\"1822\" data-end=\"1832\">Example:<\/em> If you live in a trailer or apartment without a private door, ICE could argue that it is a &#8220;semi-open&#8221; space.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"1989\">What is happening in 2025?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1991\" data-end=\"2250\">Organizations such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACLU<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacrd.org\/es\/directory\/organization\/1419\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RAICES<\/a> have documented an <strong data-start=\"2044\" data-end=\"2080\">increase in warrantless arrests<\/strong> in states such as <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/warning-for-undocumented-immigrants-in-texas-5-things-about-sb4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/record-immigration-raid-in-florida-black-tide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a> and Georgia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1991\" data-end=\"2250\">This occurs primarily in rural areas, neighborhoods with a high Latino presence, and locations near bus stations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2252\" data-end=\"2371\">It has also been reported that ICE is using <strong data-start=\"2296\" data-end=\"2324\">drones and mobile cameras<\/strong> to monitor areas where immigrants live.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"2378\" data-end=\"2402\">What can you do?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2406\" data-end=\"2462\">Do not open the door without an order signed by a judge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2465\" data-end=\"2513\">Keep calm and record (if it is safe to do so).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2516\" data-end=\"2562\">Do not lie or sign anything without legal advice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2654\">If you are in a public space, you may <strong data-start=\"2604\" data-end=\"2624\">remain silent<\/strong> and ask to speak to a lawyer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2654\"><figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p style=\"color: #fd9737;\">Hay zonas espec\u00edficas donde ICE s\u00ed puede entrar legalmente sin una orden judicial<\/p><cite>Qu\u00e9Onnda.com<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2025, the Trump administration has strengthened immigration enforcement measures that are generating new questions among Hispanic communities.
