On April 27, 2025, a federal operation led by the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration<\/a> (DEA) at a clandestine nightclub in Colorado Springs resulted in the arrest<\/a> of more than 100 undocumented immigrants and the apprehension of Army Sgt. Juan Gabriel Orona Rodriguez on cocaine distribution charges.<\/span><\/p>\n

The raid, which took place at the Warike Events club, involved more than 300 agents from various federal agencies, including the FBI, ICE, ATF and the Department of Homeland Security.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the operation, drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine and “pink cocaine” were seized, as well as firearms.<\/span><\/p>\n

The club had been the subject of multiple allegations of illegal activities, including drug trafficking and prostitution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Juan Gabriel Orona Rodr\u00edguez, 28, assigned to Fort Carson military base, was arrested by the FBI on April 30.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to court documents, he is accused of selling cocaine to an undercover DEA agent and participating in a conspiracy to distribute the drug since September 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, he is linked to the security company Immortal Security LLC, which operated nightclubs such as Warike.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among those arrested in the operation were more than 100 undocumented immigrants from countries such as Guatemala, Cuba, El Salvador, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua, Chile and Honduras.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of them have expressed fear and concern about their legal future in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

Human rights organizations have criticized the operation, arguing that it may have violated the rights of the detainees by failing to provide them with due process of law.<\/span><\/p>\n
