This decision, considered by experts as the largest revocation of legal immigration status in the modern history of the country, has generated alarm in the migrant community.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court ruling overturned a previous court order blocking the measure pushed by the administration of former President Donald Trump, who has argued that TPS for Venezuela &#8220;contradicts the national interest&#8221; and that courts should not intervene in executive immigration decisions.<\/p>\n<h2><!--more--><\/h2>\n<h2>Human and economic impact<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42589\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42589\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42589\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/TPS-Venezuela-2.jpg\" alt=\"TPS\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42589\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Shutterstock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Lawyers and organizations such as the National Alliance for TPS, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the ACLU<\/a> and the UCLA Law Center warn that the loss of TPS is not only a devastating blow to Venezuelan families.<\/p>\n<p>It is also an economic threat to entire communities that depend on the labor of these immigrants.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p style=\"color: #fd9737;\">This decision has generated alarm in the migrant community<\/p><cite>QueOnnda.com<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;The humanitarian impact will be felt immediately and for generations,&#8221; said attorney Ahilan Arulanantham, co-director of the UCLA Immigration Law Center.<\/p>\n<p>Many of those affected have U.S.-born children, stable jobs and have lived in the country for years.<\/p>\n<p>One of the plaintiffs in the case stated: &#8220;I fear for my daughter. It is impossible to return to Venezuela safely.<\/p>\n<h2>Organized communities<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42591\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42591\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42591\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/TPS-Venezuela-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42591\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Shutterstock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>The decision also creates uncertainty about the future of other migration programs such as CHNV, which has allowed the humanitarian entry of migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>The Court is evaluating another appeal related to the cancellation of this mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>Pablo Alvarado, director of the National Day Laborers Network (NDLON), called the decision part of a campaign to instill fear:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The protection had already been granted by law.
