On July 14, 2025, a control judge in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, sentenced to trial five alleged perpetrators of the kidnapping and murder of the five members of Grupo Fugitivo, a regional music band, who have been missing since May 25, 2025. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three of them are accused of direct participation and two of indirect participation; the tragedy of the members of the Fugitive Group continues to give much to talk about and their families are clamoring for justice<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those arrested with direct participation in the homicide of the members of the Fugitive Group are:<\/span><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Govany “I”, alias “G\u00fcero Nice” or “Gordo”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mario “L”, alias “El Chuco”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Francisco Javier “L”, alias “El Panchito”.<\/span><\/p>\n

These three are facing charges of disappearance committed by private individuals, with possible involvement in the murder of the musicians<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In addition, two more people were linked for indirect participation in the kidnapping and homicide of the five members. <\/span><\/p>\n

Their identities have not yet been released; authorities are continuing investigations to fully identify them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The five suspects were remanded in custody while the judicial process progresses. <\/span><\/p>\n

The judge established a term of six months to conclude the complementary investigation<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The indictment was based on evidence gathered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, including statements, material evidence and expert analysis related to the crime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grupo Fugitivo, with hits in romantic ballads and corridos, was in Riveras de Rancho Grande, Reynosa, when they were intercepted on May 25. <\/span><\/p>\n

Subsequently, authorities confirmed that they were kidnapped, executed and their bodies burned in a brickyard<\/em>, presumably by members of the Los Metros faction of the Gulf Cartel<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Prosecutor’s Office arrested 10 people, including this criminal cell, and offered a reward to locate the fugitives involved in the murder<\/span>.<\/p>\n
