This July 23, 2025, James Uthmeier, Attorney General of Florida, invited the population to report their ex-partners who are living irregularly in the U.S., in order to promote their deportation. This call was made known through the X platform (ex-Twitter), and was supported by the Department of Homeland Security(DHS<\/a>), which shared an ICE telephone number to receive such reports.<\/p>\n

In his publication, Uthmeier recounted a real case: an ex-partner who had overstayed his tourist visa and was then placed on the deportation list. He invited others to do the same: “If your ex is in this country illegally, please feel free to contact our office. We will be happy to help.” DHS reinforced the message with the phrase “From domestic abuser to deported loser” and noted that the ICE hotline handles an average dispatch of 15,000 calls per month.<\/p>\n
