This July 28, 2025, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen suffered a severe crash<\/a> during a Super DIRTcar Series race at Autodrome Drummond in Quebec, Canada.<\/p>\n

According to official reports, Friesen’s car overcame a dirt embankment, went airborne, impacted the outside wall and then was struck by another vehicle before bursting into flames. Fortunately, Friesen walked out of the car and was transported conscious to a local hospital. <\/p>\n

Serious injuries and necessary surgery<\/h2>\n

CT scan analysis revealed that Stewart Friesen suffered an unstable open-book pelvis fracture, in two or more places, accompanied by considerable hematoma.<\/p>\n

He also has a fractured right leg, both injuries will require surgery.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that his vital condition is stable and he is receiving pain control medication and ongoing medical support.<\/p>\n

Jessica Friesen, his wife, reported that scans ruled out brain, spine or neck damage.<\/p>\n

But he noted that the pain remains severe and that he will be transferred to a hospital with greater capacity for surgery.<\/p>\n

Stewart Friesen was heading to Autodrome Drummond after a successful weekend at Weedsport Speedway.<\/p>\n

He was also recently disqualified in the NASCAR<\/a> Truck series after finishing third at Indy for a technical violation, but his team announced an appeal.<\/p>\n
