Mexican actor<\/a> Manuel Masalva, known for his participation in productions such as Narcos: Mexico<\/em> and the telenovela Pecados Inconfesables<\/em>, experienced one of the most difficult moments of his life.<\/p>\n

During a vacation in the Philippines, he contracted a highly aggressive bacterium that led him to a critical situation: doctors had to induce him into a month-long coma to stabilize his body and save his life.<\/p>\n

The news came to light thanks to his colleague Mario Mor\u00e1n, who publicly explained that Masalva had been the victim of a fulminant infection.<\/p>\n

In view of the seriousness of the situation, the actor’s family opened a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help defray the high medical expenses.<\/p>\n

Months after that crisis, Masalva decided to reappear on his social networks to show how his recovery is progressing. The actor revealed that during his illness he lost about 28 kilos of weight, which weakened his body to the extreme.<\/p>\n

In a message to her followers, she shared, “I appreciate your messages and your heartfelt love. Of course I look and feel good. I share with you that I am recovering from 28 kilos down, and that my little body is recovering from the damages. I am rehabilitating my walking, there is still a long way to go”.<\/p>\n

With these words he made it clear that, although his condition has improved, he still faces a physical rehabilitation process to regain his lost strength and mobility.<\/p>\n

Through his Instagram<\/a> stories, the actor also shared a recent photo in which he shows how he currently looks. “I’ll upload you guys a picture of my current look. I love you guys so much,” he wrote optimistically.<\/p>\n

His publication quickly generated thousands of reactions of support, messages of encouragement and expressions of affection from his followers and colleagues in the artistic world.<\/p>\n

The actor himself has pointed out that this process has not only been a physical test, but also an emotional and spiritual one, as it has allowed him to value life, health and the support of his environment more deeply.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the program Ventaneando, Masalva said that the infection occurred suddenly and devastatingly: “Everything was obviously very fast, very incomprehensible in terms of timing. It is a very hard bacteria, very powerful so to speak”.<\/p>\n

The actor recalled the unexpectedness of the situation, as he went from a seemingly peaceful vacation to finding himself on the brink of death in a matter of days.<\/p>\n

Today, already in the process of recovery, Manuel Masalva has become an example of resilience. His story is a reminder of the importance of paying attention to any health warning signs and not minimizing infections, especially when traveling to other countries.<\/p>\n

Masalva, with gratitude and strength, reaffirms that his struggle continues, but that he is focused on moving forward and returning soon to the projects he enjoys so much.<\/p>\n
