This is not the first time this hearing has been postponed, as a few months ago it was delayed from July 15 to September 15.<\/p>\n<h2>Ovidio and &#8216;El Mayo&#8217; Plead Guilty<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_76909\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-76909\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76909\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/JGL-ok-2.jpg\" alt=\"Joaqu\u00edn Guzm\u00e1n L\u00f3pez\" width=\"1200\" height=\"892\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-76909\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Screenshot of El Soberano&#8217;s X Account.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Last July, Ovidio Guzm\u00e1n L\u00f3pez, another of &#8220;El Chapo&#8217;s&#8221; sons and Joaqu\u00edn&#8217;s brother, pleaded guilty to four drug trafficking-related charges in a Chicago court.<\/p>\n<p>This as part of an agreement with the U.S. authorities, the terms of which were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in August, fellow Mexican drug trafficker Ismael &#8220;El Mayo&#8221; Zambada, co-founder and historic leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, formally pleaded guilty to two counts of drug trafficking, money laundering and weapons charges against him in a New York federal court.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2024, Zambada arrived in the United States on a private flight with Joaqu\u00edn Guzm\u00e1n L\u00f3pez, in what is suspected to be a deception of Zambada, supposedly part of a deal with the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, although the circumstances of that flight were never clarified.<\/p>\n<h2>Delays in the &#8220;El Chapo&#8221; case warned of<\/h2>\n<p>The situation of Joaqu\u00edn Guzm\u00e1n L\u00f3pez is keeping U.S. authorities on alert as they seek to strengthen prosecutions against the Chapitos faction.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts believe that these delays are due to the complexity of the case.<\/p>\n<p>As well as possible ongoing negotiations, which could set a precedent in the judicial strategy against the Sinaloa Cartel.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Qu\u00e9Onnda.com.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The hearing of Mexican drug trafficker Joaqu\u00edn Guzm\u00e1n L\u00f3pez, leader of Los Chapitos and son of Joaqu\u00edn &#8220;El Chapo&#8221; Guzm\u00e1n, in a Chicago court was postponed from September 15 to November 13, 2025.
