{"id":87595,"date":"2025-10-11T15:23:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T19:23:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/daddy-yankee-wins-legal-battle-for-his-professional-trademarks\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T15:35:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T19:35:36","slug":"daddy-yankee-wins-legal-battle-for-his-professional-trademarks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/en\/daddy-yankee-wins-legal-battle-for-his-professional-trademarks\/","title":{"rendered":"Daddy Yankee wins legal battle for his professional trademarks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Daddy Yankee&#8217;s legal representatives and his ex-wife, Mireddys Gonz\u00e1lez, reached an agreement so that the famous urban artist can use his professional trademarks, including his artistic name and pseudonyms, such as the acronym DY, which he has been using lately after announcing his musical retirement.<\/p>\n<p>This is the result of a joint motion released this Friday and filed yesterday before Judge Mar\u00eda Antongiorgi Jord\u00e1n, in the Federal Court of Hato Rey (San Juan), in which the lawyers notified that &#8220;the parties have reached a total and definitive agreement on all the claims presented in this action&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Stops the attempt to block its brands<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_87560\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-87560\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-87560\" src=\"https:\/\/queonnda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/DY-2.jpg\" alt=\"Daddy Yankee\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1550\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-87560\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Mezcalent<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ram\u00f3n Luis Ayala Rodr\u00edguez, the singer&#8217;s first name, filed a new lawsuit this week in Federal Court.<\/p>\n<p>He alleged that his ex-wife sought to prevent him from using certain trademarks, including Daddy Yankee and DY.<\/p>\n<p>In response, the singer and his legal team requested that an injunction be issued prohibiting such action.<\/p>\n<p>To which the judge requested that the defendant respond within 48 hours to the claim made by the artist and his lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The parties have agreed that this honorable court shall enter judgment incorporating the terms of said agreement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And that said judgment shall be final and not subject to appeal,&#8221;
