The bodybuilding community in Mexico is going through a moment of deep sadness after confirming the death<\/a> of Jorge Corona, a 26-year-old athlete who lost his life on October 15 in an accident on a beach in Quintana Roo.<\/p>\n

The news, initially spread by his family and close friends, went viral days later, causing consternation among his followers, colleagues and trainers. In social networks, numerous athletes and fitness figures expressed their sorrow and highlighted the talent and discipline that characterized Jorge, considered one of the promises of national bodybuilding.<\/p>\n

Jorge Corona was not just another competitor in the sporting arena. Despite his youth, he had managed to position himself on several podiums in national and international competitions, standing out for his perseverance, physical preparation and competitive approach.<\/p>\n

His Instagram profile, where he accumulated more than 25,000 followers, functioned as a sort of visual log of his career. In it he shared training videos, photographs of his physical evolution, moments of preparation before competitions and motivational reflections. In a message posted on social networks, Ibarrola explained that Jorge went swimming at a beach in the Riviera Maya when the sea was particularly rough due to the weather conditions at the time.<\/p>\n

“He had a problem in the sea. The sea was very choppy and he couldn’t get out,” the photographer explained in his publication.<\/p>\n

According to his testimony, his friends who were with him tried to help him and resuscitate him, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The young man drowned, putting an end to a trip that, until then, had been a time of rest and enjoyment.<\/p>\n

These publications, which now take on a melancholy meaning, were the last public signs of his activity before the tragic event.<\/p>\n

After learning of his death, several coaches, athletes and fitness websites shared messages in memory of Jorge Corona. They remembered him as a disciplined, charismatic and committed athlete, who had managed to build a promising career thanks to his perseverance and dedication.<\/p>\n

Its history has generated reflections within the environment on the risks associated with aquatic activities on open beaches and the importance of heeding warnings about the state of the sea.<\/p>\n
