Luciana, the adopted daughter of the late actress Lorena Rojas, recently moved the public by sharing that she not only keeps alive the memory of her mother, but also imagines what her life would have been like if she were still alive. At 12 years old, the minor shows a sensitivity and maturity that touched the hearts of many viewers, as she naturally expresses the scenarios she imagines with the actress who adopted her when she was just a baby.
Although she currently lives under the care of her aunt, actress Mayra Rojas, who has given her a loving home with her own children, Luciana never stops thinking about the special bond she has developed with her biological adoptive mother. During a visit to the Hoy Día forum, Mayra and Luciana shared an intimate and emotional moment when they talked about what they imagine their daughter’s life would have been like if Lorena had not passed away. Luciana explained that, had she grown up with her mother, her home would probably be in Miami and her routine would be marked by daily activities between mother and daughter.

“It comes to my mind that we would be going to many places together, like any mother with her daughter,” said the little girl with a smile. She also expressed that, even living with Lorena, she would not stop visiting her aunt and cousins, who today are considered her siblings. “I would be very happy and I would always wonder what my life would be like if I were with Lorena,” she added sincerely.
Mayra, visibly moved, complemented her niece’s words with a phrase full of tenderness: “We would go to visit you, and I would not be your mother, but your aunt”. The exchange reflected the deep respect and love that exists in the family for Lorena’s memory.
Luciana’s story is also a testimony of resilience and hope. Lorena Rojas fulfilled her dream of becoming a mother in 2013, when she managed to adopt the child in the United States. However, two years later, the actress lost her life after a hard battle with breast cancer that spread to other organs. She passed away on February 16, 2015, leaving a deep void among her loved ones.
A family that transforms absence into love
After his departure, Mayra Rojas assumed the commitment to care for and raise Luciana as another daughter. In 2018, the legal process concluded and the minor was officially integrated into her aunt’s family, consolidating a bond that has grown stronger over time.
Today, more than a decade after the loss of Lorena, the Rojas family demonstrates that physical absence does not mean oblivion. Luciana grows up surrounded by affection, with the certainty that she was a deeply desired child and that her story is marked by love, memory and family unity.
