Luis Geovany Velásquez Palacios was originally from Comayagua, Honduras, and had emigrated to the United States seeking to build an artistic career in the urban genre.

Under the name Gioone404, the young man shared his music on digital platforms such as YouTube and Spotify, with songs such as “Me enchulé”, “Me llama” and “Buc’canas”.

His style combined reggaeton and Latin trap with influences from the urban scene of Atlanta, the city where he lived and produced some of his material.

His death has caused a deep impact among fans and compatriots, who remember him as a charismatic, persevering artist, proud of his Honduran roots.

On social networks, dozens of messages have filled his profile with expressions of affection and condolences.

The news was also confirmed by the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), Comayagua campus, the institution where his father, Neptael Velásquez, worked in the General Services area.

In a statement, the university expressed its solidarity with the family: “We accompany our colleague Neptael Velásquez in his grief at the irreparable loss of his son Luis Geovany Velásquez Palacios”.
