The preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2025, held at the impressive Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Thailand, was marked by a dramatic moment that generated concern among the public, the jury and the organizers.

Gabrielle Henry, representative of Jamaica, suffered a heavy fall while walking down the runway in her evening gown, which prompted the immediate intervention of the pageant’s medical team.

During one of the most important moments for any contestant – the evening gown parade – Gabrielle Henry walked with poise and confidence, wearing an elegant orange gown, adorned with glittering appliqués, a high leg opening and a flowing cape that added movement and drama to her presentation.

However, while advancing down the catwalk, the 28-year-old model accidentally stepped off stage, in one of the openings of the venue’s structural design. The misstep caused her to completely lose control and fall abruptly to the lower level, unleashing expressions of alarm among the attendees.

Raul Rocha, president of the organization, and Nawat Itsaragrisil, a key figure in the pageant committee, immediately got up from their seats to help Miss Jamaica, who remained on the floor unable to get up.

The atmosphere in the forum changed instantly: the lights dimmed and, although the show continued with the parade of the other candidates – as the pageant’s broadcasting protocol dictates – the medical team quickly entered the area to attend to the contestant.

Gabrielle was carefully placed on a stretcher and removed from the stage amidst obvious concern from the audience, who applauded her bravery and professionalism.

Miss Jamaica and her state of health: no fractures

Through a statement published on social networks, Raul Rocha informed about the health condition of the Jamaican model, clarifying that he remained with her and her family in the hospital.

According to the message, “At 12:00 am Bangkok time, I just left the hospital where she is being treated. I was there with her and her family, and fortunately, she has no broken bones and is receiving good care.”

Rocha added that Gabrielle would remain under observation throughout the night, while the pageant team maintains constant communication with her family to offer emotional and logistical support.

“Our prayers are with her for her speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.
