Colombian singer Shakira lit up Paraguay’s capital, Asuncion, on Saturday night in her second consecutive concert as part of the ‘Women Don’t Cry Anymore World Tour’, at the ‘La Nueva Olla’ stadium, which gathered tens of thousands of fans.
The artist connected with the audience from the start by dancing with her cast in front of a screen that projected the flags of different countries, repeating the nationalities of the “Latin” women until she reached the Paraguayan women, who responded in chorus with shouts and applause.

With different outfits and choreographies, the Colombian star danced and got his fans moving with several hits from his repertoire, which included “La Fuerte”, “Girl Like Me”, “Las de la lntuición”, “Estoy Aquí”, “La Loba”, “La Copa Vacía”, “Te Felicito” and “TQG”, which were also sung in chorus in the stadium.
The packed stage also accompanied the emotional moment provoked by the appearance on a giant screen of a video showing Shakira as a baby and then a little girl beginning to sing her way to becoming an artist, images that preceded the performance of “Pies descalzos, sueños blancos” (Barefoot, white dreams).
The show was opened by Paraguayan artist Nath Aponte, who performed songs of the guarania genre, which is emblematic of the musical identity of the Paraguayan people.
Shakira included Paraguay for two presentations, on Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29, in the second part of her world tour that includes several Latin American countries and will close with shows in the Argentine city of Cordoba scheduled for mid-December.
The Colombian singer returned to Paraguay 14 years after having presented in 2011 the tour ‘Sale el Sol Tour’.
