NBA 2025: After seeing his historic streak of 1,297 games with at least 10 points snapped, LeBron James vindicated himself Sunday with a big performance in the Lakers’ 112-108 win over Philadelphia, while Santi Aldama shined in the Memphis Grizzlies’ 119-96 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. LeBron wanted to silence the voices that are beginning to question his level at almost 41 years old in a Lakers (17-6) led by Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
He scored 29 points, 12 of them in the decisive last quarter, signed 7 rebounds, 6 assists, a block and a steal, also with a remarkable shooting performance (12 of 17 from the field, including 4 of 6 in three-pointers). James had missed the Lakers’ last game in Boston after seeing his nearly 19-year streak cut short on Thursday in Toronto, where he scored just 8 points. Doncic somewhat overshadowed him with a triple-double (31 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists) to lead the Lakers against a 76ers (13-10) that had in Tyrese Maxey (28 points and 9 assists) its maximum reference.
Without Shai, Thunder also sweep

Mark Daigneault decided to rest Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Salt Lake City three days before the Oklahoma City Thunder (23-1) face the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Cup quarterfinals.
Even so, the Thunder still overcame the Utah Jazz (8-15), which they defeated 101-130 to earn their fifteenth win.
Jalen Williams signed 25 points and 8 assists.
Chet Holmgren contributed 25 points and 9 rebounds for the Thunder, who were without Alex Caruso and Luguentz Dort.
Santi’s Grizzlies

The Canary Islander, a reserve, scored 22 points (7 of 11 from the field, 3 of 6 from three-point range), 7 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist after 28:08 minutes on the court, becoming one of the best sixth men in the league.
The Grizzlies (11-13) had a +34 while Aldama was on the court.
Memphis had seven men above 10 points, with Jaylen Wells and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with 16 or Jock Landale with 15.
In addition, the Grizzlies’ bench contributed 69 points, nearly 58% of the team’s 119.
For the Trail Blazers (9-15), Jerami Grant completed 21 points and Deni Avdija 17.
Jokic and Murray lead the Nuggets

Jamal Murray scored 23 points in the first quarter for the Denver Nuggets (17-6) in which Serbia’s Nikoa Djokic returned to the triple-double with 28 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds.
With their 106-115 win over the Charlotte Hornets, the Nuggets have won their last ten games on the road, where they have been more reliable in this opening stretch of the NBA season than at Denver’s Ball Arena.
Murray finished the game with 34 points, while Charlotte’s (7-17) top performer was Miles Bridges with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists.
Knicks win before NBA Cup

In addition to these games, the New York Knicks beat the Orlando Magic 106-100 in the last test for both teams before the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup, which they will play in 48 hours against the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat, respectively.
The Raptors, meanwhile, were defeated 113-121 by the Boston Celtics.
While the Golden State Warriors won 91-123 in Chicago, inflicting on the Bulls their seventh consecutive loss.
