The year 2026 is getting closer and Telemundo is already anticipating it as a key stage for its programming. The Hispanic network presented its main bets for the coming year, which it has described as “glorious, unmissable, memorable and historic”.
The strategy includes a combination of consolidated reality shows, new fiction series and extensive coverage of high-impact sports and music events, with the goal of strengthening its leadership in Spanish-language television.
According to the company’s announcement, the 2026 proposal seeks to offer a more intense and diverse television experience. “2026 will be more intense, exciting, passionate and great,” Telemundo said in unveiling its vision for next year.
Reality shows, the centerpiece of prime time

Reality shows will continue to be one of the main pillars of Telemundo’s primetime programming. So far, the network has confirmed the return of two of its most successful formats: La casa de los famosos and Top Chef VIP.
La casa de los famosos will return with its sixth season, in which a new group of celebrities will accept the challenge of living completely isolated from the outside world. As in previous editions, the participants will live under the same roof 24 hours a day, monitored by more than 90 cameras and microphones that will record every moment of their coexistence. Drama, tension and alliances will once again be a central part of the format. If there are no last minute changes, Javier Poza and Jimena Gállego will once again be in charge of the show.
Top Chef VIP will return in 2026 with its fifth season. The culinary reality show, hosted by Carmen Villalobos, will continue to face celebrities in demanding gastronomic challenges. The most recent edition featured Héctor Sandarti, Salvador Zerboni, Elvis Crespo, Sergio Sendel and Juan Soler, and the winner was Spanish journalist Cristina Porta, further consolidating the format in the network’s prime time slot.
Telemundo bets big on fiction: action and suspense

In the series arena, one of the most outstanding premieres will be Lobo, morir matando, a drama loaded with action and suspense. The production stars Arap Bethke, Fátima Molina and child actress Camille Mina.
The story revolves around ‘Lobo’ Rosales, played by Bethke, a former detective scarred by his past whose life changes dramatically when he becomes the protector of Renata, the daughter of the woman he once loved, after an attack leaves her an orphan. The cast includes Marjorie de Sousa, Gabriel Porras, Dominika Paleta, Eduardo Yáñez, Angélica Celaya, Roberto Romano and Alejandro de la Madrid, among others.
Telemundo will also be one of the main homes for major sporting events in 2026. The network will broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup, in addition to Super Bowl LX, NBA games, Liga MX Fútbol Estelar and the Premier League. With this offer, it seeks to strengthen its presence in high-profile sports broadcasts.
“More epic, vibrant, monumental and legendary,” Telemundo stressed in defining its proposal for a 2026 that aims to be one of the most ambitious years in its recent history.
