Actress Evangeline Lilly has revealed on her Instagram account that she has brain damage and most of her brain is functioning at “reduced capacity” after suffering a fall.
Lilly, 46, known for her role in the ‘Lost’ series and Marvel’s ‘Antman’ film, shared in May 2025 that she fainted on a beach in Hawaii and fell face first onto a rock.
The actress has now shared a video in which she reveals that she has brain damage and will focus on her recovery.
“Now my job is to get to the bottom of it with the doctors and embark on the hard work of fixing it, something I’m not thrilled about because I feel like working hard is all I do,” he says.

In the text accompanying the publication, the performer says it is “comforting” to know that her cognitive impairment “is not just perimenopause,” but also “disconcerting to know what an uphill battle it will be to try to reverse the impairments.”
Her condition has forced her to slow down and spend what she says is the quietest Christmas since 14 years ago, when her son was born, so in that sense she is “grateful” and “blessed”.
The actress took advantage of the announcement to thank all those who have been concerned about her health.
According to Agencia EFE, her post has accumulated nearly 63,000 likes and messages of support from actresses such as Michelle Pfeiffer and Alyssa Milano.
