Johnny Knoxville will premiere the fifth ‘Jackass’ movie, the franchise known for its extreme and risky stunts, on June 26, according to Variety.
“Well what a crazy start to the year, we wanted to let you know that Jackass is coming back this summer! See you in theaters June 26. There will be more news, but we wanted you to hear it from us first!” wrote Knoxville on his Instagram account without announcing what kind of project it was.
Variety confirmed Thursday that it is ‘Jackass 5,’ a movie coming four years after ‘Jackass Forever,’ in which the original cast of the series first premiered in 2000 keeps their irreverence intact, even as they face middle age.

Before becoming a film franchise the ‘Jackass’ series had three seasons that originally aired on MTV between 2000 and 2001, with reruns until 2002.
The program followed a group of young people who documented painful and embarrassing pranks and stunts, often in dangerous or scatologically humorous scenarios, reported Agencia EFE.
