Bad Bunny captivates artists

He received touching messages.

Musicians such as Rosalía, Cardi B, Residente and two of the singers who participated in the show, Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga, praised Bad Bunny’s concert at the Super Bowl, which made history as the first artist with a repertoire entirely in Spanish.

Several artists joined the Puerto Rican on the stage filled with symbols of his native Puerto Rico. This was the case of Cardi B, Colombian Karol G, Chilean Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Young Miko and David Grutman.

Lady Gaga, who performed alongside Bad Bunny, said on Instagram, “It was such an honor for me to be a part of Benito’s halftime show. Thank you, Benito, for inviting me and thank you to the entire cast for welcoming me to your stage. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

The singer Rosalía shared a story on Instagram with images of the event and the message “Congratulations legend”. Cardi B, who was present on stage as a guest, although she did not sing, dedicated a “Congratulations” also in temporary messages on the network.

Residente, who is a personal friend of Benito Ocasio -Bad Bunny’s real name-, shared a publication with a series of images of both singers together hugging and with the message “Orgulloso de ti x100pre” (Proud of you x100pre), in reference to the Boricua’s first album.

Pop-country star Kacey Musgraves shared on the X network the message “Well, that made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done,” in reference to the alternative concert that had more than 6 million viewers on YouTube.

Rapper Doechii on X, and Jennifer Lopez and Shakira on Instagram also shared praise for the singer and his performance.

The main criticism came from U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that the show was one of the worst in history and that no one understood a word he said.

“The Super Bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst in history!” the president said on the social network Truth Social.

He added, “No one understands a word this guy says, and the dancing is disgusting, especially to young children who watch it all over the United States and the rest of the world.”

Bad Bunny has become one of the spokesmen for the fight against immigration raids by the U.S. government and ICE, reported Agencia EFE, and his performance last night has become a symbol of pride for the Latino community in the U.S. and around the world.
