U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday praised Attorney General Pam Bondi for her “fantastic” performance during a congressional hearing in which she aggressively responded to criticism over the handling of the Epstein case and also defended the Republican, who in the past was a friend of the sex offender.
“Attorney General Pam Bondi, under intense pressure from radical leftist lunatics suffering from anti-Trump delusions, was fantastic at yesterday’s hearing on the never-ending Jeffrey Epstein saga,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network, a day after Bondi’s session before the House Judiciary Committee.

During the acrimonious exchange, in which Pam Bondi was pressed hard by Republican and Democratic congressmen, the attorney general insisted that Trump had no knowledge of his former ally’s actions and defended the actions of her office, which has released millions of documents on the case following the passage of a transparency law in Congress.
“There is no evidence that Donald Trump committed any crime,” Pam Bondi reacted to questions from Democrat Ted Lieu about whether there were underage girls at any party attended together by the president and the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
In the session, Pam Bondi also dedicated personal attacks against legislators such as Republican Thomas Massie, co-author of the law that forces the Department of Justice (DOJ) to disclose the Epstein files and one of the most belligerent for everything to be known about the case, whom she called a “failed politician.”

Massie lambasted the official for the DOJ’s inadvertent disclosure of the identities of victims and the “glamorization” of the identity of alleged accomplices.
On Truth Social, Trump on Thursday reiterated his criticism of the “loser and self-righteous” Massie, who he said, “made a fool of himself yesterday, aimlessly fighting a desperate agenda of hate and stupidity, as clearly evidenced by his plummeting job approval numbers in the Greater Kentucky Commonwealth.”
“No one cared about Epstein when he was alive; they only cared when they thought he could cause political damage to a very popular president who has rescued our country from the brink of extinction, and very quickly! In fact, this attempt by the Democrats to divert attention from the tremendous Republican success is failing miserably,” Trump added.
A dozen Epstein victims who came to Capitol Hill on Wednesday staged one of the most emotional moments, when Democrat Pramila Jayapal asked them to raise their hands if they had not yet been able to meet with Trump’s Justice Department, and they all did, while Pam Bondi turned her back on them.
