Champion or failure?

En Los Jefes, Álvaro Morales pone contra las cuerdas a Cruz Azul tras eliminar a Monterrey

The requinto sounded and the fire was lit. In a new installment of Los Jefes Deportes, the top-ranked analysis panel on the radio and digital platforms put its finger on the sore spot after the 1-1 draw (4-3 overall) between Cruz Azul and Monterrey in the round of 16 of the Concachampions League.

The moderator and guide of this panel, Álvaro “El Brujo” Morales, began with a lapidary editorial. For “El Brujo”, although Cruz Azul eliminated Rayados, the ‘Máquina’ played with a “forgiving” attitude against a team from Monterrey that “was more crowded than a public hospital” due to the number of casualties. The sentence was clear: with the investment made by Iván Alonso’s board of directors, there is no room for excuses.

Fear of the “Cruzazuleada”?

The debate became more heated when Juan Carlos Gabriel de Anda, known as “El Rey” (The King), questioned whether La Máquina is really a boss, admitting that in the first half the specter of defeat was haunting the team.

For his part, Fernando Ceballos, the “Chiva number one”, gave credit to Paradela’s goal, but warned that Rayados, even with their limitations, competed toe-to-toe.

Dionisio Estrada, always analytical and firm, described the performance as “approving”, although he issued a warning that hurt the Cementera fans: “LAFC from MLS is going to eliminate this Cruz Azul”.

Rayados: A project “without head or feet”.

The table showed no mercy to the Monterrey board.

“El Rey” and Ceballos agreed that it is a sporting “crime” to plug promising young players like Fimbres by bringing in million-dollar foreigners just to sell jerseys.

“Monterrey should be a disgrace,” said Morales.

Chivas and América: What’s next

But it wasn’t all Cruz Azul.

The table of Los Jefes (also made up of legends such as Ricardo “El Tuca” Ferretti and Carlos Hermosillo) has already put its chips on the table for what is to come:

Chivas: Fernando Ceballos assured that this Wednesday the Rebaño will sleep as absolute leader after facing León.

America: There was total consensus. The Eagles must eliminate the Philadelphia Union, although “El Rey” threw a direct dart at Kevin Álvarez, demanding more professionalism from the Azulcrema fullback.

Los Jefes Deportes continues to demonstrate why it is the ultimate authority.

With the structure of Juan Carlos Gabriel, the honor of Ceballos and the irreverence of Álvaro Morales, this program is a must for anyone who wants to understand soccer without anesthesia.

The episode is now available on all audio platforms, such as Apple Podcast and Spotify, where you can also listen to other titles promoted by QuéOnnda and Nueva Network, such as Nueva Jugada.
