LeBron James became this Saturday, during the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Orlando Magic, the player with the most games in NBA history, surpassing Robert Parish’s 1,611, breaking an all-time record.
LeBron James, 41, started in JJ Redick’s starting five for the visiting Magic as the Lakers sought their ninth straight win.

294 with the Miami Heat, 301 in his return to the Cavs and 469 in a Lakers jersey.
He averages 21.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.9 assists this season and continues to be one of the most decisive players in the league.
“Without him we don’t win,” Luka Doncic, his Lakers teammate, recently said.

An almost impossible record

LeBron James once again made history by breaking a record that is very difficult to achieve in the NBA.
He reached a total of 1,904 games played including playoffs, surpassing legends such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Parish.
The player himself acknowledged that it was never his goal to chase individual records.
“It just happened. It wasn’t on my target list,” he explained.
He also made it clear that his focus has always been to compete and establish himself as one of the best of all time.
At 41 years of age, his longevity can be explained by a strict physical and mental preparation that has allowed him to remain at the highest level for more than two decades.
LeBron James also noted the wear and tear involved in sustaining that pace:
“It’s a mental drain trying to play so many games,” he said.
Beyond the numbers, the player stressed that his motivation remains his love for basketball.
A key factor that keeps him in force and decisive for his team.
