Bruce Springsteen released this Friday the unreleased track ‘Lonely Night in the Park’, taken from the recording sessions of ‘Born To Run’, one of his most iconic albums, released 50 years ago, the Sony label reported.
Recorded during the ‘Born to Run’ sessions at Record Plant, the track was on the verge of being included on Springsteen’s third studio album, but in the end was not part of the eight songs chosen.
Taking advantage of the 50th anniversary of the album’s release on August 25, ‘Lonely Night in the Park’ arrives today in never-before-heard studio quality, according to Sony.
The release is accompanied by the publication of a selection of previously unshared images from Eric Meola’s photo shoot for the iconic ‘Born to Run’ cover.
A special gift from Bruce Springsteen to his fans

The album was released on August 25, 1975 and changed the lives of Springsteen and his band, according to the singer in the special edition for its 30th anniversary, which was released in 2005.
In the introduction to that edition, the ‘boss’ recalled that the words ‘born to run’ came into his head one night when he was lying in bed with his guitar, working on some ideas.
With those three words he began to compose a song that became a rock classic and he did it with that guitar, which is the one that appears on the album cover.
The unreleased ‘Lonely Night in the Park’ has the same spirit of the tracks included in the album, among which are ‘Thuder Road’, ‘Jungleland’ or the title track ‘Born to Run’.
