Colombian singer Shakira closed with a flourish her visit to Mexico as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, offering 12 consecutive concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City. The singer of Hips Don’t Lie and Antología thanked her fans with an emotional message on social networks, describing the energy of the people of the capital as “one of the greatest tributes” of her career.
The GNP Seguros Stadium, considered the most emblematic venue for massive concerts in the Mexican capital, witnessed a new record: Shakira is now the artist who has filled the stadium the most times in a row on the same tour. In doing so, she surpassed previous records set by international artists such as Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift, reaffirming her status as the most successful Latin artist in the history of global music.
In total, more than 780,000 people attended the Colombian singer’s performances during the 12 nights in Mexico City, all of them sold out and without a single cancellation on the calendar.

After concluding the last show, Shakira shared on her Instagram account a video where she appears visibly excited, even in tears, while receiving the audience’s ovation. To the publication she added a message addressed especially to Mexicans:
“What I experienced last night is a once in a lifetime experience. My last night, after 12 GNP stadiums with 65 thousand people every night, in a city that has seen the best and greatest artists on the planet sing. Thank you, Mexico, for always believing in me and for giving me so much. For singing, crying and laughing with me these 30 years and thank you for this tribute, one of the greatest of my career. I carry you in my heart every day of my life. You are my brothers forever and always, I love you, Mexico!
Shakira and the resounding success in Mexico
Shakira’s concerts not only stood out for the massive attendance, but also for the first class production that accompanied each show.
The stage was equipped with state-of-the-art giant screens, synchronized light effects, special effects and a corps of dancers that accompanied the choreographies from beginning to end.
The singer also surprised with multiple wardrobe changes designed by fashion figures such as Donatella Versace, reaffirming her connection between music and high fashion.

In addition, the presence of special guests gave a unique touch to each night. Among them were Danna Paola and Belinda, who shared the stage with the Colombian, as well as Mariachi Gama Mil, who accompanied her at key moments with a Mexican touch that unleashed the euphoria of the audience.
Shakira’s visit to Mexico City not only broke attendance and consecutive performance records, but also consolidated the special bond that the artist has maintained with the Mexican public since her first visits in the nineties.
With Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, the singer reaffirms her place as a reference of Latin music in the world, combining showmanship, talent and gratitude to one of the most loyal audiences of her career.
