Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, one of the most influential artists in urban music worldwide, faced tense moments during the concerts of his 2025 tour in his homeland.

According to local media reports and statements made by journalist Jay Fonseca, the singer of Tití Me Preguntó and La Canción had received death threats, which forced to reinforce security measures around his presentations.

The alerts were not limited to the concerts. In the previous days, Bad Bunny’s property in Puerto Rico, known as “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí”, became the focus of attention due to events unrelated to the presentations.

One of the most worrying incidents was reported by the owner of “La Casita”, the emblematic place where the video clip of DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS was filmed. According to reports, the house was shot at by unknown persons, an act that increased concerns about the artist’s safety.

Journalist Jay Fonseca, recognized for his coverage of security and political issues in Puerto Rico, revealed on his program that an individual – whose name was not disclosed so as not to hinder investigations – posted explicit messages on social networks expressing his desire to “kill Bad Bunny”.

According to Fonseca, the threat was considered credible by the authorities, as the suspect had access to firearms, which raised the risk level for the singer.

“Everything was put on high alert. I knew about it before, but I couldn’t tell. They were particularly jealous and secretive about maintaining security. There was a credible belief of risk to him,” Fonseca stated in his report.

As a result of these events, a special security operation was implemented both around Bad Bunny’s residence and at the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot, popularly known as “El Choli”, the main stage for his presentations in Puerto Rico.

The artist’s security corps, in coordination with local authorities, reinforced entry protocols, public access control and surveillance inside and outside the venue. These actions sought to guarantee the integrity not only of the singer, but also of the thousands of fans who attended the concerts.

The concerts in Puerto Rico were especially significant for the artist, as they represented a reunion with his local audience in the midst of the 2025 international tour. However, episodes of violence and alleged threats partly overshadowed the celebration and highlighted the security challenges faced by public figures on the island.

Despite the tension, Bad Bunny’s performances at “El Choli” were carried out successfully and without incident, thanks to a strict security operation. The audience responded with enthusiasm and support for the artist, reaffirming his position as one of Puerto Rico’s most beloved and representative musicians.

So far, authorities continue with investigations to clarify the facts and determine the origin of the threat. No arrests directly linked to the case have been reported, but authorities have assured that constant monitoring is being carried out to guarantee the singer’s safety and prevent future incidents.

This episode highlights the risks faced by high-profile artists and the need for adequate protection measures during tours and mass events.
