Cause of death of actress Diane Keaton revealed

Diane Keaton's death rocked Hollywood, and the causes of her death have now been revealed.

American actress Diane Keaton died on October 11 at the age of 79 as a result of pneumonia, her family told People magazine.

At the time his death was announced, neither the place nor the reasons for his death were disclosed, and family members initially requested privacy.

“The Keaton family is very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away on October 11 from pneumonia,” notes the statement released now and sent to People, which first reported her death, which occurred in California.

A source told People on October 11 that her health had deteriorated rapidly and that in her last few months she had been surrounded by her closest family members, who had wanted to keep the situation private. Even longtime friends, she said, were not fully aware of what was going on.

The family used the release to advocate for causes they were passionate about.

“She loved her animals and was a staunch supporter of the homeless, so any donation in her memory to a local food bank or animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her,” that note said.

Keaton worked as an actress, director and producer during a career spanning more than half a century, which began with ‘Lovers and Other Strangers’ in 1970.

An Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role, two Golden Globes and a BAFTA are proof of a lifetime in the elite since she achieved worldwide fame with ‘The Godfather’ saga, whose first two installments were released in 1972 and 1974, and with ‘Annie Hall’ (1977), directed by Woody Allen, which won her the golden statuette.

Manhattan’ (1979), ‘Reds’ (1981), ‘Shoot the Moon’ (1982), ‘Marvin’s Room’ (1996) and ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ (2003) are some of the many critically acclaimed films in which Keaton has appeared, reported Agencia EFE.
