Eleuterio Higuera Acosta Jr., known artistically as Tello Higuera Jr. was the son of Tello Higuera, original founder of Los Incomparables de Tijuana. From a young age he followed in his father’s footsteps, excelling as a vocalist and accordionist.

Before becoming a full member of Los Incomparables, Tello was also part of the group Los Retoños de Tijuana, with whom he consolidated his musical style and participated in several regional projects.

His voice and stage presence became a hallmark of the group, which throughout his career has been recognized for keeping alive the tradition of the corrido and the norteño sound.

Among Higuera Jr.’s most memorable songs are “El De las 2 Letras”, “Ubícate” and “Los 90’s”, songs that earned him recognition among fans of the genre.

Circumstances of the death of Tello Higuera Jr.

Although Los Incomparables de Tijuana did not provide details about the circumstances of the death, local media reports indicate that the singer was deprived of his freedom and subsequently murdered.

According to unofficial reports, the band was scheduled to perform at a baptism in the Aztlán neighborhood, located in the municipality of Playas de Rosarito, on Friday, October 24. Upon arrival at the event, several armed men allegedly burst into the place, tied up some of the musicians and took only Tello Higuera Jr.
