UFC President Dana White confirmed that on July 4, 2026, the day the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its independence, an unprecedented professional mixed martial arts bout will take place on the South Lawn of the White House.
The idea was first mentioned in July 2025 by President Donald Trump during an event for the America 250 celebrations. On that occasion, Trump said he wanted “a championship match” with a capacity of 20,000 to 25,000 people at the presidential residence.

The company signed a $7.7 billion agreement with Paramount to broadcast its events exclusively in the United States beginning in 2026.
This contract will put an end to the traditional pay-per-view (PPV) system.
It will also allow UFC fights, such as this one at the White House, to be available on CBS and Paramount+, with massive reach.
